2008 Ride For Hope 500 - July 26, 2008

The Ride for Hope - 2008, is scheduled for July 26th, 2008. It will have the usual starting points (Kalispell, Missoula, Great Falls, Havre, Three Forks, and Billings. The ending point will be in Red Lodge, Mt. Make your reservations early! Rock Creek Resort, Red Lodge, Mt. 59068. Located 5 miles south of Red Lodge, Mt. on Hwy. 212. Scenes from previous Rides

This years Ride for Hope (2007) had approximately 100 motorcycles participate in the ride and we served over 180 meals at the Lewistown (MT) banquet. Miss Montana, Kristen Mantooth, was our guest speaker and what a sparkle she is. She also helped with the live auction. Amazingly we raised more than $97,000.00 this year.

We can't thank the riders enough for continuing to make our annual Ride for Hope such a success. First place pledge earner-- Royce Bird of Polson, Montana. Royce collected more than $27,000.00 --and he is a repeat offender. This is not his first rodeo at the top spot. He is a shining star.

The second place earner -- also a repeat offender -- was Dave McCormack of Victor, Montana. Dave collected well over $14,000.00.

Third place goes to Wes Matson of Hamilton, Montana. Wes has been doing this for many years and we are very grateful for his continuing efforts on behalf of the Hope Project. This year, Wes collected over $12,000.00 in pledges. (Wes is also a repeat offender).

2007 was a year for a grand prize winner. A cruise is given away every other year and this year's lucky winner was Renee Whitaker of Hamilton, Montana. Renee has the oppotunity to take a companion with her.

Our honorary Hope Project recepient and family attending the festivities this year, were the Jorgensons from Bozeman. Jacob, the recepient, gave a wonderful presentation describing his wish trip to Disney World in Florida. It was a pleasure to have him, his sister, mother and father attend. We thank Mr. and Mrs. Jeff (Val) Jorgenson for attending.
